My Story...

My leather crafting adventure started in the summer of 2010...

I dreamt I was perusing in an Italian shop in Florence and ran into a beautiful leather music folio. I woke up from that dream, and immediately searched on my iPhone for said leather folder! One result came back from that search, a saxophonist in North Carolina called Stephen Pollock, advertised that he made the type of folder I was looking for...

So naturally I emailed him on a Sunday morning, but low and behold I didn't get an immediate response, and I'm, what you would call, a bit impatient. So, the next step of my adventure started. Objective: how can I make a folder like his! So naturally, I began searching for videos on leather crafting. Many YouTube videos were watched, good ones AND bad ones. I recall a gentleman by the name of "Irish Guy." I was intrigued by his determination, his end products were sub par (in my humble opinion, sorry "Irish Guy"), but he had the guts to put himself out there! Needless to say, his bloody veg-tan hide was fair warning.

So, after watching hours and hours of film, I was determined to make my own folder, and that I did. It was "sub par" as well, but boy did I learn from that experience...
